Introduction: A small genus of about ten species of fairly small epiphytic monopodials with short stems and flat leaves.
Derivation of genus name: Named after Dr. von Grosourdy, specialist on medicinal plants of tropical South America.
Type species: Grosourdya elegans Rchb.f.
Characteristics of the genus:The short lived flowers open one or two at a time on the several, often many inflorescences.
Conservation status: not known
